they use the H4 bulbs but I do not think they are the euro version with the signature light pattern.

Pretty sure the headlites are H4's, not sure if they're the euros tho. If not, where can I buy the euro H4's?

The Hella's are available at Zim's Autotechnic, you can also find them at various other non-Porsche vendors since they are used on other cars/models.

I may have found a supplier that can get me the Cibie H4 headlights that Dan used as part of his lighting kits. I have one coming to see if it is. I'll let you know when it arrives. I also found a source for the Narva bulbs that he used in the kits.

There is a company online that sells the Cibie lamps Dan spec-ed in his lighting kits:

Aardvark International

I was originally going to buy lamps from them until Dan starting building his kits. I think they still actively sell the lamps, though I haven't contacted them in ages.

You can purchase the Cibie E-Code 7" lamps as well as Narva bulbs from Daniel Stern.

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/p.../products.html

I have done business with him on several occasions. Stern has been in the business (originally as an engineer) for a long time, in fact Iceshark knew him.

Stern's site also inclues a Tech session with the proper method of aiming E-Code lamps, due to their unique beam pattern.

Doc, they are plug and play. You have much more options aviable with the types of bulbs you can run, anything with a H4 connector will work. They are readily available at any autoplace. If you plan on running anything more than 55watt bulbs on the stock wiring, you should defenetley look into more heavy duty connectors.
