Replacing Flag - Mirror Base - Anyone try this yet?
Title says it. My passenger side flag/mirror be broke.
I am trying to figure out how I can just replace the base. I can see in pet that it is a replaceable part but I have no idea how it can come apart? I have 2 complete mirror/flag assemblies but vs. putting a white mirror on I would rather use my green one with the good base.

If you look up how to install 968 mirrors on a 944, it shows how to get the two pieces seperated. You make a contraption out of an eye bolt and some washers, you have to compress it and turn it to get it apart. If you can't find the procedure, i have it, i can throw it up on my FTP for you.l

Doc, thanks for the suggestion. I just took them both apart and decided to keep 1 and 2 above and I'll get it painted with the rest. For now I have a 25/75 mirror I guess.
On to the next project.
