Pardon my ignorance regarding shocks... But, What is the difference between Koni REAR red shocks compared to yellow ones?
I have a set of each, both say adjustable...is the valving any different?

Scott, why do you have a set of both? The yellows should be a stiffer shock than the reds. The rred is more of a street shock.

The KONI Sport (Yellow)

product line is one of our specialties. KONI serves sporting drivers with a carefully designed range of sport shock absorbers and suspension kits with lowering springs. This line focuses on exceptional road-holding and handling properties, combined with an acceptable level of comfort.

Its characteristics include responsive steering, improved body control and limited body movements when braking and accelerating, all resulting in a direct feel and excellent wheel-road contact.

About the KONI Special (RED)

The red KONI line is meant for drivers who want to improve their car in general; better comfort and road-holding combined with a higher level of safety.

KONI Special shock absorbers are available for most performance cars. KONI select the most appropriate technology for each car from the wide range of shock absorber types. Each shock absorber is then customized for the car model. Hence, a KONI Special is always the best choice, for replacement as well as improvement.

Let me know which you are/are not going to use and I may be able to help you out if you are looking to get rid of a set

I have a set of yellow ones lying here but one needs sent back to Koni. I have a red pair on the back of my gold 86 951. Wasn't too sure of the distinction. But sorry, I'll be using both sets.

The yellows are valved stiffer. Much better than the Reds for your car (unless you drive it soft).

That's one thing I've never been accused of.... driving soft. Matter of fact, I think I'm still banned from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
