Default Hall Sensor and Cruise

Is the Hall sensor paramount to the operation of the cruise on an 84 or does it only operate the mpg gauge? If it is, does anyone have a working sensor or speedometer in general they'd sell reasonably? Thanks, TT

MPG-GPH gauge only. Try eBay.

Then what does the cruise control on an 84 use as a speed sensor?

As my 83 does not have a cruise control I never considered that there may be an interconnect. In looking at the 84 schematics it does. Interesting.
