Hey everyone,
So the weekend of the 19th and 20th I was planning on replacing the stone guards on the 944, I have ordered some off of eBay that seem nice. Well like most of the original stone guards, they have yellowed and cracked; except for the fronts which just have 2 slices on them. I started removing the back ones yesterday and took a closer look at the fronts. Seems to be that the PO had at one time repainted the fenders on both sides, without removing the stone guards. And of course the edges of those stone guards are starting to peel, when the other side of the guards are covered with paint.
What should I do?

Use a low heat and strip them off. If it was a re-spray of the original color try to wetsand the raised edges carefully. Once you are done put the new ones back on. Take your time. Too much heat and you will bubble the paint beneath and you will be repainting the fenders.
