Default Vent Shades for 944s

Hey guys, have any of you found a sourch for those smoke colored vent shades, that fit a 944. I would like to be able to get some fresh air into the car when it's raining, without getting wet at the same time.

I have a set on my Bronco II and enjoy this option, but none of the manufacturers seem to list one for a 944.

Is there a standard model for a Honda or Toyota that might fit?

This isn't meant to sound smart-assish, but why don't you just turn your vent up to 4 and call it a day?

My interior/dash vents blow hot air, both summer and winter and I have doubts as to the freshness of the air provided.

Once upon a time, open windows provided the only A/C available, and I long for those days. Open windows also provide a nice way to listen to the engine.

So when I have my vent shades in place and the car in the garage, I'll call it a day.

There are several "vents" in the car, I'm guessing the vent shade is the "eyelid" over the door window?

Why not just crack open the roof (sounds funny but that is what the owners manual calls it)?

if the nomal vents blow hot/warm air all the time you should replace the heater valve. These can leak causing this situation.

Been there, done that. Opening the sun roof will still suck in the rain and the heater control valve will correct the heater problem.

What I am trying to accomplish is to run with the windows open, both wet and dry, without the blast of air and rain at 85 MPH. The vent shade will allow me to do this.

I'm getting the feeling that I'm the only person that has ever thought of this accessory. This thing started in Europe, on VWs I think, years ago, but never made it to Porsches for some reason.

I hoping that someone has addapted them to fit a 944, but I can't find them.

I do not care for the looks of ventshades but they sure are nice to have. You can leave the windows cracked when the car is parked and rain cannot get in, and drive with the window down without the loud buffetting wind. Very nice. I had them on my old windsurfing van and it helped a lot, especially with wet gear left in the van for a few days.

The plastic can be carefully heated with a heat gun and bent so you might ger some similar shaped ones to fit the 944. Good luck.

Here they are called weathershields and I'm pretty sure that I saw them in the Mid America Motorsports catalogue!
I need some as well, have the same problem.
