911 aero mirror kit on a 944?
I just noticed that Pelican has available Manual aero mirror kits for '89-'98 911s. Has anyone tried to mount these on a 944?

I haven't personally but it's not that difficult. You just need the 968 bases. You could also use the motors from your flag mirrors if you wanted to keep them electric. I did something similar on my 928...

You can purchase the bases separately, although honestly it is probably cheaper to just order the whole kit from Sunset. I installed the manual mirrors on my car and they were a piece of cake, and lighter as a whole than the old flag mirrors with the motors and wiring.
Some people have mounted the aero top part of the mirror to a 944 stock flag mirror base, it works, but looks like bullox.

Thanks! I thought the base might be a little different -- wasn't so sure. I have potential source for a cheap set of manual aero mirrors from a 911, but I don't know about the bullox look....
