Hmmmmm unless he just had the car on jackstands to support the front only...for a long time...while replacing shocks/springs...man I've never seen my car with a rake to it like that....higher in front than rear? WTF???

"Work Needed - S2 or equivalent motor and ecu" sounds like it might be missing an engine.

If he thinks he's getting $5800 for an engine-less 944 [S2 or not], methinks I need to get some of what he is smoking.

"The previous mechanic kept the original motor as a fee for storing the motor."

That's one hell of a storage fee for an S2 engine, even for one that overheated!

Seems the only option this guy would have it parting the car if he hopes to get any money for this thing.

He replied that the trans is worth over $800 alone. I told him only when it's out of the car.

Get the feeling he thinks it's a real Porsche.

The Nevada PO probably lived in Lake Tahoe and got it serviced in Reno...Tahoe gets some serious snowfall, Reno not so much much still enough to justify snow tires if he worked anywhere up the hill.
