Default Door lock on drivers door

So, I stopped off at the pub on the way home. All goes well. Door locks perfectly with the key.
Come out about 45mins later (and yes, I won money on the pokies!) and the door will not unlock!
Bugger! No warning, no hint of a problem beforehand.
Passenger door lock is fine and the drivers door will lock from the inside, just not with the key from outside.
Anybody have this problem, and if so, what's the fix?
Ta in advance

beeg, take the handle off and see if the white plastic thing popped off the round piece that turns when you turn the lock. that would only affect it from the outside, and would still work the same from the inside.

x 944 x - take the handle off, and on the longest bar that moves up and down when you pull the handle, there is a black plastic piece threaded on, unthread it maybe 2 or 3 turns, and re-assemble

OK. Fixed.
Was really simple. I coated the key with graphite powder and inserted a few times. Works like a charm.
Musta been old age clagging up the cylinders.

Yup, my dad used to do that trick. Beats having to scrape a pencil into the lock, lol.
