Hey at least I wasn't trying to part out your car like some of those guys. They weren't running over to help... they wanted to get dibs on your wheels.

Did you find the source of the problem?

What caused the fire and how serious was the damage?

Well........... Not 100% sure yet........

I threw the car in the garage and haven't looked at it since.

I was going down the straight away and I guess I flames were shooting out from underneath....

I felt a loss in power but the car kept moving and running.......... I drove it to where everyone was jumping up and down.....

A couple of quick acting members had extinguishers ready to go.

We washed the car down after to get the powder off......

I think the loss in power came from the vacuum hoses melting from the fire.......

We think there may be a leak from one of the hardlines under the car??? Maybe coolant? I smelled a hint of coolant??? but then again thats me being paronid about blowing head gaskets..... The car was running when I stopped... I had to shut the key off so I am not convinced its fuel related...

On first inspection I may need new hoses (vacuum), harness.......

The paint looks pretty good... a good power polish and she should be good........... I will probably need to redo the hood. The hood insulation went up in smoke.

I will have to re-polish everything again. Oh well.... something to do for the winter.
