Drafty Inside Door Latch
There's a huge draft of air coming in from my driver's side door latch at highway speeds, making my left forearm chilly. Before I start dissecting my door, are there any problems or tricks to know about? I figure I'll just need to make a barrier with some plastic sheeting. Any info is appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul

The plastic barrier is probably gone- A very common thing to do is to tear the plastic off when working on the window mechanism..
1. Lube and inspect the window motor and mechanism. make suree all the securing bolts/ screws are tight.
2. Make sure the window slide rails are in good shape- ask me how I know.
3. You may as well replace the window "wipers" on the door card if they need refreshing.
4. Inspect the door lock mechanism- You may wanna replace the PITA plastic piece that always breaks at the most inopportune time..
5. clean out the bottom drain holes from debris
6. Lubricate all moving parts with white lithium greats (Except plastic parts- use graphite)
7. Check for wire insulation cracks on windoe/ mirror / doorlock switches.
8. Inspect and replace rubber moldings on the door seal.
What.. You said- "While youre in there! " :roflmao.
