compression test and leakdown in disagreement?

Part of the conversation has been over your compression as a function of elevation. I check the compression tonight in my son's 85.5 944 with 143,000+ miles. I'm another 1,000 ft higher than Ft. Collins/Greeley and here are my results hot/dry not corrected for elevation

1: 150PSI
2: 150PSI
3: 155PSI
4: 152PSI

These are a little highter than I expected at 6,000 ft for a 143K engine. I'm not sure exactly what this all means, but I think I'll keep the car.

It could mean a couple things, some carbon buildup, more heating of the compressed air than others, perhaps an inaccurate gauge, but no matter what, those numbers are good, and most likely the car makes lots of power
