Default 15" cookie cutters with low profile...???

Hi,
I want to install on my 15" cookie cutters a 215/45 R15 tires but I don't know if that looks ok on early 944.
I don't want to put bigger rims. I'm fighting with weight and cookie cutters are lighter even that Fuchs rims are, but the high profile tires are crappy on sharp corners.
Maybe someone has pictures with low profile 15" mounted on 944???
And maybe you have any opinnions about Toyo tires?
Thanks
Peter

There's a guy with a 944 he autocrosses that rides on 225/45/15 tires. It's incredibly low profile and looks really good. I'm sure he will see this momentarily and send you a picture

I run those size tires on my track car. Prior to severely lowering the car, the wheel wells looked very very very big with that setup.

Also, expect your speedo to be way off after the change.

on 225/50/15 tires my speedometer reads 5-7 mph faster. My estimate is as much as 10 mph off with a 45mm profile.

The 45 series is supposed to be 45 percent of width, which around 97mm sidewall.

make sure your rear wheel well is clean and the tires look great on stock sport suspension, even better if the car is lowered a little bit

215/45 R15 make Toyo (models T1-R and T1-S) and Dunlop (models SP Sport 2000 and SP Sport 9000).
I never met with 225/45 R15 tires...???
I'm also using this car as Track Car but not only track car.
I know that speedo will be way off but with low profile on small rims the acceleration is much better.
I'm also planing to lowering my car.
Lemming where can I find pictures of your car?

Is Toyo the only source now for this size? Dunlops' website only shows a 215-50/15 in the Sport 2000 or 8000. I would like to run a bit smaller on my NA also; the 215-50 is the same dia. as stock (24.7"). At least there are more choices in 15" than 16" tires.

I have found only Toyo and Dunlop in size 215/45 R15 and I can order those tires via internet.
Who make 225/45 R15 tires?

I know it's not quite what you're looking for, but this is a 225/50 15 on a stock height suspension. The fender gaps look too big from some angles. I like the size over all though. I think a tire that is smaller all around would look strange on a stock height suspension. I don't have a pic from the side on this computer, but I can get one directly from the side if you want to see it.

It would be nice if you could add side picture.
I want to put 215/45 R15 with lower suspenssion and with some sapcers to make the car wider.
