RTV silicone gasket maker. It stays flexible so it can be easily removed again if needed. Found at Auto Zone, any auto parts place will have it. Comes in a tube so it's easy to apply.
BTW, if you're trying to remove the old stuff, use a plastic scraper to get the bulk of it off, then use a rag soaked in mineral spirits to get the remainder off. Worked like a charm.

1/4" ribbon seal, made by 3M. Normally used for sealing windsheilds/glass. Works good for tailight assys. and for sealing up heater blower motor screen. I've used it a few times. Available at most any auto paint supply store, and at a lot of local parts houses. The colder the ambient air temp is while working with it, the harder it will be to use, but it works well. At least for me.
