944 special edition?

Tony, I think you're getting a little bit confused.
In 1988, Porsche offered something like 400 944 Celebration Editions, like the one Alex owns. I had one as well, Zermatt/Grey Plaid, and I think Tony K (With the white S2) had one as well.
The 944 S2 Club Sport is the car I think you're talking about.
1st photo is of my old Celebration Edition, 2nd photo is the the interior of Tony K's car (Also Celebration), and the 3rd car is the one you speak of(I think)

Hey Dimitry, That picture is of my car. I recognize those soap bubbles anywhere!I wish I was better at uploading photos but I always get" too big" and it takes for ever to crop with my kodak program.Lightspeeds if you want I can email you photos of the "celebration" pamphlet which describes the "3" celebration editions. The 924s special edition mentions "sportsuspension,"not the 944. The 911 is called a "commemorative edition" there is a picture of a brass coin looking badge for each one. It's funny how they call that interior "exclusive" But anyway that satin black that it's supposed to be is 1 of 250 that came to the USA. Get Peter morgans book. It has lots of spec's and production numbers. Although I've heard some say they've found errors in it. Like the 944 rear badge not found on US models.

It got those soap bubbles again today Andy. Had to take it in for The dreaded emiisions test. Passed as was expected. Co was a little high though. It sat for about 1/2 hr waiting to be next after I took it for a 4mile blast to get it good and warmed up. Washed, dried and erv'd and back under the cover after a couple hrs(to dry)

Is there a premium price for the Celebration 944? If all it had different was the wheels and interior, then I don't think it is worth much more than an ordinary 944 but if it had an upgraded suspension package as well as larger front and rear brakes, then I think there should be a premium on the car of at least $1500 more.

That's the car and the guy was originally asking $1800 and I told him I would buy it for his asking price but the title is in Washington and he has to go back there to get an official seal on the title before it can be registered in California. He has since raised his price to $2800 due to high interest. The car looks like it is in great condition and he just mentioned it has a small dent on the right front fender. He said the car does not come with a radio or leather and came with a performance package. He mentioned he has the medallion in Washington.
The guy sounds a little flakey when I e-mailed him from his answers. I asked him several times about the upgraded brakes and suspension and he didn't want to talk about it. All he mentioned was the rims were 16".

He also said he had the car since 88 and raised the price due to the amount of interest. I emailed him the day he put out the ad since he lives less than 5 miles away from me. I don't need another 944 though especially at 2800.
