That's a little too far for me while I'm in school, so count me out. Have fun though, Lake Tahoe is the most beautiful place on Earth, IMHO.

Great pictures everyone. It was great meeting new people and being around so many nice cars. I love these drives. Now that gas prices are so high they cost more but to me worth every penny. I ended up driving just over 600 miles Saturday and averaged ~22 mpg. Not a bad day. The logging truck wasn't such a bad thing, the pine needles and leaves covering the ground on the one lane road could have caused some trouble. BIG THANKS to the organizers Brad and Steve for putting this on.

-Josh

PS - So I should have taken I-80 off of 5 instead of 50, at least I turned around before Cal Expo...

I've been registered as IS there. Unfortunately, there's hardly any traffic there.

I left a message. We're gonna try to get it together by 6pm since I have a 2 for 1 coupon until then.

Arash,
Do you think you could zip all of those pics up and make them available for FTP? I could host it if you're not able to. PM me if it's possible

TIA

Guys, looks like we got lucky on Skaggs Springs road on Saturday. Over on the local sport bikers forum, there's lots of talk about how the CHP have been patrolling Skaggs lately and ticketing them - likely for non-street legal bike mods as well as fast driving, etc.

I think we were lucky to only have the Sheriff tell us to move our parked cars off the road !!

in my experiences, cops just dont like anything that sounds like a swarm of bees, or anything annoying. most bikes fall under those 2 categories, IMHO. i've never been pulled over (knock on wood) in my 951, the only close experience i had was when i was going like, 80 on 5 and this bike cop pulls up next to me and pushes his hand downward to signal me to slow down. for some reason i only get speeding tickets in FWD japanese sedans...

either way, it's good that the only thing we had there was that sheriff telling us to move our cars. he was nice about it, though.

i really need to go on more drives....

That Z-car is even nicer than ther pics show. Dan has kept it OE stock from top to bottom. It's a beautiful example of the marque.
