Default Corbeau Forza Racing Seat

Does anyone have a Corbeau Forza racing seat in their 944? If so, how do you like it? Where do you buy the rails for it? If I don't install a rollbar, what kind of seat restraint can I use?

If anyone has one or a pair that they might be selling, please contact me. I found a place that will sell them for $220 with free shipping.

I have a set I use, bought from a dealer with the rails, and I like them a lot. I use a 5 pt. harness, so I'm not sure about using the factory belts, the shoulder belt may be a problem with the factory setup. Ask the seller if they have rails? Sounds like a decent price.

They have the FIA Standard # stitched on the side. Not sure the specific legalities concerning FIA and Club Racing.

Forza model 2K is FIA homologated. The original Forzas had their FIA homologation withdrawn for safety reasons. You can download the FIA approval list from their site.

That price is the standard. I ended up getting mine with rails for slightly cheaper from the dealer up here in mn. I absolutely love them. Make sure you go with the wide if that is what you need though, since i have friends that barely fit in my car! I use schroth 6-point harnesses, but have not yet installed a roll bar. All you need to install harensses is a harness bar, although this pretty much relegates all passengers to the front seats. Depending on year you can stick with the stock seat belt setup, just check and see if the seat belt buckle is attached to the seat or the frame. Newer cars have them attached to the seat, so a little work would be required to keep the stock seat belt. hope this helps...

I have a Sparco Speed for sale for $175. Never used in a car, my friend bought it for Gran Turismo 3. IT's FIA approved.

not to be a troll, but i don't think the sparco speed is FIA approved. i have them and there is no FIA stamp. also, they do not accomodate 5 point harnesses, which are necessary for most racing series.

Sorry, mine's a sprint, not s a speed, and it is indeed FIA approved. Litespeed, give me a call at 408.674.5910 if you're interested in the seats. I'm all over the bay on a weekly basis, and maybe I can swing by your place if we make arrangements.

"I found a place that will sell them for $220 with free shipping."

Where did you find them for this price? I'm starting to look for two seats for my 84. This sounds within my budget.

I have Corbeau Forzas with no complaints. I noticed that I have to sit closer to the steering wheel though compared to my previous factory seats. No worries on that though especially when autocrossing since I usually sit close in order to have good pedal position.

Maybe if we get a few people together for a group buy, we can get it for $200 each?

I thought I read somewhere that once a race seat is 5 years old, it can't be used in some racing events due to safety. Is that true? The FIA shows 2000 to 2005 so I guess the seat just expired. It costs $299 new.

Is the Speed seat a 5 point harness seat or a 4 point? Does it come with rails for the 944?
