928 that is! Thats right, I might just be adding another Porsche to the lot. Was trying to decide on another car to share daily duties with the 951, and while i was looking for something not sporty, I found a deal I couldn't pass up. Now, the car isn't mine yet. But he is going to hold it for a month while I save up the funds. My new job pays excellent, so here's hoping! I had it taken to a porsche mechanic for a PPI and it came out perfect. The details:

1986 Blue 928 S
75,000 miles
Automatic

Not going to mention the price, but here are some pics.

Automatic... but damn it could be fun anyways! I like that color a lot! Interior looks pretty well maintained too.

Don't even think about modding this car! What you have here is a prime example of (IMHO) a very good long distance "cruiser."

Amen to that one...

And yes, the car will stay stock. To keep the g/f happy, the 951 stays the toy (it was supposed to be a daily driver) and the 928 will split daily driving duties. It need to pull as much gas mileage out of this thing as possible...

Yeah, nothin' like havin' TWO timing belts to break (and 16 or 32 valves to replace at $100 a crack. . .)

We've got 2 944s and a 928S in the family, and I love it. You should go for it, man. Repairs will cost much more, so be sure you're ready to get into it. Luckily for me, my dad "takes care" of his 928's costs, so all I have to worry about is not breaking the speed limit (when he DOES let me drive it). Actually I've been borrowing it for the last week, and it totally puts my 944 to shame in every way (except backroad handling). It just feels like a supercar. Congrats on the great find, that car looks beautiful! And to answer your question, I've never seen a turbocharged 928, but I have heard that the only way to accomplish it would be to use a rear-mounted turbo (near the muffler) and run piping all the way up to the engine. I have seen this application on camaros - there is considerable turbo lag, but hey, you get boost. Supercharging is more popular and more effective, but more expensive. But you're keepin it stock anyways, so rock on.

There's a kit that they are now working out(I beleive it's done tho) for the rear mount turbo. there's about 2-4 twin turbo kits available for them as well. Actually there were Callaway twin 928s back in the day.
