You'd have been much better off buying the 968 rims, Neal!

Good thing you didn't, since I have decided to re-mount them, and sell the D-90's (after I have the two bent ones straightened)!!

How much will your re-finishing cost for all 4??

Too funny. I think it's $129 per wheel (flat rate, regardless of damage) if you drop them off in farmingdale on long island. My wrench is charging me 119 per wheel (I guess he gets a wholesale rate?) plus 70 to leave the car on one of his lifts for a few days. It seemed like a good tradeoff to me vs. having to borrow a set of wheels and schlep out to farmingdale twice with four wheels stuffed inside the 951.

I'm pretty psyched to see the result. I saw a set of phonies done by wheels america on an incredible early 928 at a concours this spring. That was the day (if not the moment) that I became dissatisfied with my wurth's refinish.

Neal, Andy,
either of you going to the Zone at Tobay?

Pleasure doing business with you Andy!!! seriously, im glad you are keeping the 968 rims on your car. When and if you change your mind, you know where to find me. I am better off getting one set of tires. neal and i had this conversation a few times.

Hey Tom...you are better off keeping your rims. After several on-off-on episodes at the tire shops, my rims are looking closer to yours anyway!

Neal - I had the phones of my former 88 repainted by a local body shop in NJ. They came out minty fresh!! Makes the car look so much better to have clean rims! You'll see!
