Default Rear Seat Storage?

There was a thread a while back with a 944 that had a "Nissan z31 300zx" style rear-seat delete storage cubby... The top flipped up and you had a little bit of covered storage there.

Just wanted to see pics of it again, as I'm planning to go down the same route, since everyone complains about going in my backseat, might as well just not have one.

Thanks

Thanks for the pics!

Hmm, that looks like 2 pieces, just one on the front, and one hinged on the back... More simple than what I was thinking, but it does the job.

I'm planning to make the "front" piece slightly higher, high enough to maybe fit 1 6x9 in each side, although I don't know how great of a sound I would get from there.

Any pics of it closed? Just wanted to see the slope of the "lid" and if keeping it flat like the hatch would look more or less obtrusive.

If I could make a recommendation, use a piano hinge instead of the two "regular" hinges and have it powdercoated black.

I work at a high end cabinet shop, I have a plethora of hinges to choose from :P

Not to mention I can get some nice marine grade plywood at low costs.
