Default Intermittent start problem

I am posting this because I am seeing an increase in these types of posts. I have been having a problem with my '87 off and on for about a year. I had the motor rebuilt on my car about a year ago and a new flywheel sensor installed at that time. Since the rebuild, (once or twice a month) the car won't start. So I have to open the hood and push the plug from the sensor to the DME harness together, then it starts. I actually bought some small terminals this week to cut the DME harness and install new terminals thinking that I have a bad connection.

Before I cut the terminals......any thoughts??

Thanks!!!!!!

Are you talking about the crank ref sensor?

Have you cleaned the connections?
Put some dielectic grease on the the terminals.
See if that helps.

Yes, the flywheel sensor. I have tried cleaning and taking a screwdriver and closing the gaps in the female end. The problem continues.
