Default Wheel Question

Hey guys,
I just got my the tires mounted for my 17" C2 Turbo Wheels. My question is when mounting these wheels did anyone leave the stock spacer on there? I assume that I have the stock spacer, considering that the fuchs that were on the car were the optioned 15" 8's and 7's. Right now im moving up to 9's & 7.5's. I put the wheel on with the spacer and it seems to barley clear the open ended lug nut that i am putting on, maybe 1 or two threads past the open end... Should I be worried? Should I remove the spacer? Will I have any rub if i remove the spacer. The wheel in the back is an ET15 Offset and the fronts are ET23 i belive. Also What is the best type of wheel lock to use in this situation?

Thanks

Greg

What year is your car? Late or early? We need more information. Late cars need more offset. Early cars need less (such as the wheels you mention). What about this spacer you mention? Is it loose on the hub?

It sounds like you won't need the spacers. It would be wise to test without and see how well the wheels fit. If there is a clearance issue on the inboard side, you will want to put the spacers back on. If you have full thread engagement with the spacers in place there should be no problem.
