Default Random request -- anyone have a stone grey passenger mirror to sell?

I'm considering springing to have my mirrors and nose resprayed this winter. My current passenger side mirror was a used replacement that was changed from red to stone grey (the original met an end sometime in the 90's). If I'm going to do this, I suppose that I may as well start with the correct color mirror rather than perpetuate a color change job. Anyone have a spare in stone grey (LY7U) for sale?

Yeah, I have a set of stone grey metallic side mirrors, do you need just the one or the set?
I am away at college now, but could have my father ship out the mirror to you, I know the paint is not PERFECT, it is chipped up like all the other 944 mirrors, but it is in good shape otherwise. $25 plus shipping? Do you need the glass, I think I have a peice for it, but that would be extra. Let me know!

Doh... Carl's mirror turns out to be early, while I need late (bayonnet style). Anyone have one?

Hey Neal -

If you are going to get them re-painted anyway, why do you care what color the mirror was originally... aside from being insane, of course!?

Idea: Come to the next Rutt Hutt meet up, and switch mirrors with Tom R while we are inside eating!

That is mighty tempting -- his passenger mirror is new, isn't it?

It is utter insanity, I know. I just figure that I'd be better off having the right color underneath and inside. If you look closely at my current mirror, you can see some red peeking out of a chip or two. If I'm going to spring to have them painted, what's an extra few bucks to have an "original," right? Just don't tell my wife.

My current best offer is a silver mirror from an '87 924S. Better than red, I suppose. Does anyone know if that is a late style mirror? Does anyone have a grey one?

Neil, just bite the bullet and install 968 mirrors, deep down you want to bin the elephant ears anyway!
