I am considering buying a 968 in Cincinnati. Does anyone know of a good tech that is familiar with 968's to do a PPI. Thanks.

There are a LOT of SOW members- I personally dont know of a shop that will do a PPI for a 968 in the area- Maybe Andy, Danny TJ or one of the outher regulars may.
here we go again, more Porsches leaving Ohio..

Shop wise, those mentioned above would be good as would German Motor Car in Cincinnati (513) 861-6000 forry@germanmotorcars.com. Got a link of the car ad? We might know him.

I am new to the game here and my experiences or those of people who shared them with me have been spotty at best. Larry Daniels automotive 513-271-1746 did a great PPI on a Honda for me and they have a Porsche guy. They are service oriented but I wouldn't say that they are 968 experts. BTW, I had a preliminary talk with Jolly about the car - it's on Rennlist classifieds - the pictures look very clean. After I read of your interest, I told him that I would defer to a fellow rennlister so good luck - it seems inexpensive compared to other 968s.

I went to the ad in the classifieds section of rennlist, but could not figure out how to copy the the link. If you click on classifieds, it will be the only 92 968 for sale. Thanks for all those who have given information.
XSboost90 has volunteered to do the PPI for me. Thanks.

Way to go Dan, even with some engine work going on. We can chat at the meeting tonight and I might be able to help out on it. Depends on some scheduling, need to get my car back on the road asap.

fyi,
i looked at that car last fall and passed on it...just because i could not come up with that kind of cash...
i mentioned the car to my porsche mechanic buddy at the dealer(Northland Porsche) and he made a face
He knew of the car and just warned me that the owner(Jolly) had tracked the car...sure enough..there were tie downs on the hatch made for a drivers harness...
it was a nice car...just fyi...its not been driven only on sundays by a little old lady......
good luck

I considered that car last fall also. I never saw it in person, but exchanged emails a few times with the seller. I also ended up passing on the car, mainly because I didn't want to buy another car unless my 944 was sold and I had the cash in hand. Interesting that its for sale again.
