It's kind of distracting at first since you look at it to see your boost level instead of watching the road.

I suspect u would perfer a gauge that measures 20hg-20psi. Many on this site refer to vacuum at various rpm's when troubleshooting. Do a search on gauges, lots of info here.

Very helpful to have vacuum on it as well. Helps you see what your engine is doing once you learn how to read it
I paid $36CDN for a nice autometer black gauge for my 951. Nothing fancy, but perfectly functional.

hmm...looking around on low-tek's website...they have this http://www.gaugepods.com/gaugegear.html think that will work? It has both, and it fits in their a-pillar gauge pod...which i planned on getting eventually anyway...

I can't afford to bleed the cash...replacing the cycling valve was more expensive than getting a manual boost controller...boost gauge, and a-pillar guage pod put together...so I figured this was the best route

The VDO gauges match the other instruuments. Vacuum is a handy thing to have.

It's hard to beat VDO for a stock appearance. In my opinion it appears to be of higher quality than the AutoMeter gauges.

Skip the one you posted, its only half of what you need. You want what oi-punx posted, it shows vacuum and boost. The vacuum part of it is INCREDIBLY handy for troubleshooting vacuum leaks and such, which definatly arent unheard of on 944 Turbos

Thats how I did mine, all off the shelf AutoMeter parts and some tinkering. The hose cover is cheap at autoparts stores as well.

Go to www.egauges.com who carries both VDO and Autometer. If you like the stock look, you can't beat VDO. If you want something more dynamic, www.autometer.com has a wide variety. For Autometer, it's easiest to pick out the gauges from their website and then shop at www.summitracing.com by looking up the model you want.

I used the Autometer Pro-Comp Ultralites.

I fully agree with getting the Boost/Vacuum gauge.

I have the VDO one that oi-punx posted. The problem for me is that it only reads up to 25 psi.

Quick Reply: Okay...so NOW i need a boost gauge...*sigh*
