Those look great with the black on them. It's a piece of cake, you'll have all that done in under an hour or two. Take a digital photo of the orientation of the strut eccentric bolt on each strut before you start to loosen and remove the old stuff, so that you can closely replicate when you install the new ones.

Yep, lump all the work together that affects alignment (968 casters, ball joints, shock towers), then spring for an alignment.

Hey let us know how you like that setup! I'm considering 250 lb springs to compensate for the stiffer rear end of my car to balance it out just a tad bit more. I'd like to know how the ride really is on 250s compared to the opinions of others that said anyone with fillings in their teeth should avoid them

250 is not harsh. Heck, even 400 is not harsh.

Jason I forgot to ask, are you going to get an alignment after installing the struts and rear shocks? I know you can change the fronts without messing up the alignment, but just wondering.

I had to upgrade spring rate in the front because the 19mm adjustable on the rear at full soft is too much bar for the 30mm front with stock springs. Yes...going for an alignment on Thurs. I am having a guy that raced IMSA do my alignment and corner balance.

And to boot, take one of those silver Sharpie markers and trace around the old struts' tabs/ears/whatever they are called where they clamp to the steering knuckles, as close to the edge as possible before you remove them. Then when you put all the new stuff on you can slide everything right up to that line and be pretty close to how the old stuff was on there.

hate to tell you, but if you want to keep your tires looking good, you better get an alignment, no matter how hard you try to mark it, or to take a picture of it, you still cannot be as accurate as a professional alignment rack, and the car will need to be realigned. Besides a good alignment is one of the only things I pay for on my car, and I am glad I do. It is just about my favorite upgrade. You'll love the Konis!
