If a boxster owner ever gives me a thumbs up or wave in my 928S i think i shall have a heart attack...

What i like the best is when i'm rumbling down a narrow city street(Borla muzzled Porsche V-8s are anything but subtle), and every single kid on the entire block stops what they're doing and just gawks and starts pointing.

It's even cooler when their dads do it too.
Don't lump all the 986 guys together........I always give a flash or a wave!

LOL, i'll keep my eye out for you.

Of course the worst are Cayenne owners. Probably because they're really VW Touregs- maybe they're too embarrased to wave back.

I have owned Porsches since 1969 and the "entry" buyers never wave or flash! A lot of these guys buy them as 'extenders". Might as well be an SLK!

Entry level owners (I mean owners just entering the Porsche circle, not the sports car circle) never wave. Most 986 owners are entry level owners, though some have had some porsches (or other sports cars) and just have one for w/e. I see like 2 boxsters per day, and not a single nod or gesture. Actually, once there was a red boxster in Daly City with two guys in it, the passenger takes a condescending look at me and my car, says something to the driver, and the car zooms away. Psha. Same thing with Cayennes.

The first time I ever went joyriding I encountered a red GT3... The guy nodded and let me "hang out" with him for like 15 miles. Last week I saw a white GT3 by SFO. I took a few looks at the car, coulnd't see the driver behind tinted glass, but he musta not liked me because he just opened it up and left.

I know. new 914 owners were that way. I remember when I knew most all the P owners around here! Don't know but a few now. Almost all cycle riders wave at each other. Had a buch of harley riders passed me in my 60B Roadster one time and they waved at me, but I suspect they thought I was a sidecar that had gone awry!!!!!
