Fall AutoFair 2005 - Charlotte
I'll be there again this year.
Richard..If you're going again, I'll meet you at your house in the morning.
Date of event is Sunday September 18th.
Of the 100 slots available, 90 have been filled, we had a couple of cancellations from last update.. If you know someone who wants to attend let then know now as we should fill up by the end of the week. Have everything from a 56 Speedster to 2005 GT3's and 997C4S's. .
On Sunday the Autofair runs from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We can get in the gates with the cars about 7:30 AM. We ask that everyone be there by 8:30 AM because it takes some time to get 100 cars staged. The earlier we are there the less cars from other clubs we have to deal with. This gives us the opportunity to have people vote on the cars between 9-12 and then we tally up the votes and do the trophy presentation about 1:00 PM. After your car is staged you can go see the rest of Autofair or just stay where we are parked. After the trophy presentation people are free to leave or can stay as long as they want. Typically a bunch of us leave about 2:00 PM or a little later and stop for refreshments and food close by.
We will be mailing the tickets and car pass around Sept 1st but we have not received them yet from the Speedway.
Contact MIKER911@aol.com for tickets.

Got my tickets and show packet today. It looks like we're going to be at the end of the infield near the tunnel 4 entrance.
I put the "Order" in for 70 degrees & sunny with a slight breeze for the 18th
Richard, I'll stop by your house around 7:00AM, I sent you a PM.

I hope that ya'll got the passes by now. I think that living in the south is begining to rub off on me.
Richard, I can meet you at the 485 entrance ramp on Sunday AM - I sent you a PM.
I'm bringing a couple of chairs this year and a cooler. See ya'll Sunday.

Fall Fair brought great weather. Richard and I were the only ones who showed from the usual crew.
As such, we took first and second place in our class. Big surprise for me, and of course Richard's car came in 1st making it two-in-a-row for him. Good job Richard. I think there were 4 or 5 944's that showed.
My favorite p-car of the day was Chuck's '78 lime green 928 with 1400 miles! see pics over in the 928 forum.

Great job Joe, I missed seeing the group. Here are a few pics. That 928 was one of the funkiest cars I have ever seen. Got to love the interior. So 70s. Very cool and my vote for best car of the show.
