Default good way to remove duct tape residue

anyone know a good way to get off the glue residue from duct tape on interior panels? i taped a plastic bag over my quarter window when it was broken, but the glue came off... less than i hoped for. conventional light soap and water has so far been making slow progress.

they make some good cleaners for that. go to autozone or pep boys and they have stuff like goo gone and some thing like orange cleaner. the goo will come right off.

If you use goo gone, do a test spot first if you are doing it on the headliner or any vinyl. Not sure if it will cause a problem, but test first. Goo gone will do the job.

Not really BAD, but not what I would use for an air freshener inside my car.

If you're going to use it to remove the residue, spray a little on a rag, don't spray it on the door panel.

Contact cleaner/circuit board cleaner is what we use at work (motorcycle service dept). Also works like a charm. It won't hurt paint, but will strip wax.

WD40 works for LOTS of stuff, you would be surprised! I will say try that some as well but make sure to keep you windows/sunroof open while you do it and after to vent all the fumes out. Sorry to hear about you window as well.
