do you have heat coming from your vent when the **** is on cold? What about bearing noise when shifting? I do on my GTO with 5700 miles. here is what the experts say. And you cant blame the UAW, this one is imported from OZ.

How come a dopey 16 year old that cant afford gas has better technical knoledge here on rennlist than people that dropped 30 large for a new car over there.

i want what i paid for. i am a crybaby.

DAMN! And I thought folks on the list were harsh.

So I hadn't realized GTO meant Got Trouble Often

Tom,
I think we are all glad to see you are just as critical of teh GTO as you were with the 944 when you posted here more frequently. At least it just wasn't a hatred of porsche thing.

All in good fun of course.

At least you have warranty, right?

The warranty is from GM, which means "could not duplicate" is going to be the answer unless i find the TSB and explain it to the service manager. you have no idea how valuable a resource rennlist is.

Tom, I cant believe you didnt know that rattles and poor build quality is what you should expect from a high performance car.

AND, it doesn't have a dead-pedal!! Hate that!!

But seriously, my Taurus does what you are saying. I think the "auto climate control" units are designed to either have the AC going, or outside air, heated by the engine coming in! Come to think of it, without the AC on in the 944, even when it's 70 outside, the air coming in is warmer than that...right?

Hope the new Mustang GT's aren't as lame...I likey the new Mustangs!

Now excuse me...have to go put my rear wheel back on. Just painted the rear driver side rotor hat silver!

Hey Tom, I feel your pain, Rennlist is an awesome resource that can easily be taken for granted, I have been trying to find a decent webboard for my prelude, its damn near impossible, if you ask a tech question, i think the mods must immediately delete it or something...(not really but you only get 2 or 3 views) but i can find out how to apply stickers properly...

Its amazing the whole time, no one offered any sort of advise addressing the problem to find a solution. A simple "I don't know" would be their answer but they are too stupid to even say that. If boneheads like that own those cars, I'd be ashamed to be in that group.

Bearing Noise when shifting?

some of the very early cars they had the torgue wrong on the flexplates, there is a tsb out for that. They had it too low.

I haven't had any major problems, just a couple little things I need to address eventually.

1. tore a small piece of weatherstripping in the passenger window last winter......window actually got stuck after rollong it down in the AM after a heavy frost.

2. It rains, I drive through a puddle I get a check engine light

3. Hard putting it in reverse when it is cold....

btw, the 2004 sap is well worth it

What a bunch o' focktards. That place is 10X worse than Rennlist on a bad day.

This comment from one of those 'tards sums up tha maturity of most of the posters on there:

I spent $600.00 at the strip club the other night. The look on everybody's faces when it closed and my GTO was parked in front.....Priceless

JFC, someone needs to get a grip.

1. I wouldn't brag about spending $600 at a strip club.
2. It's a P-O-N-T-I-A-C. To most people it is easily mistaken for a Grand Am.

DISCLAIMER: I like the GTO, it is a cool car (although I would like it better if it were badged properly for what it is, a Holden).

Damn, that is one LONG list. I thought it was the options list when I first saw it! Probably longer!
