Well, BAD NEWS!!! Someone T-bone my 944 when I was going though an intersection. I am fine, car not so good. It was low speed and the frame looks good, but the driver door is just pushed all the way in and the rear panel has a dent in it. I am SOOOOOOOO f****** pissed because if anyone knew that I spent over 20 hours alone in the last week and half working on it let alone the time and money I have put into her!! So, I can't make it tomorrow so I will go to bed now

That sucks really bad. After you finally get a beater to drive most of the time **** like this happens.
Believe it or not, I have a driver's side door and window glass in the basement right now. It is in good condition, but it needs to be stripped and painted Guards Red to match your car. You can have it if you need it. I mean have it too, no need to pay. And I think it is even off an 86 951.
Was it you I saw heading up Everett RD around 9:00 tonight?

I have a guards red door for you, but it is from an early car - not sure what this means with regards to interior stuff fit. Take your pick between me and Manning.
Get it fixed right, and it will be fine. If Alex is too far, another choice might be Stoddard - Porsche-quality work, and attention to the fact that the car is galvanized. (Alex - I'd like to hear more about the shop! - email me)

So, does anybody still want to head for wings tonight or has this put a damper on things for a while? Maybe we shoot for a week or two from now?
Mike, let me know if you want that door shell and stuff and I'll let you know when I am home so you can swing by and get it. Don't mind the construction mess. Or if Tony's door is complete that may be worth thinking about. You should be able to reuse a lot of stuff off the door through, like interior panel, weather strips, etc.

OK, how about Alex? Do you need directions? I'm not sure how you would get there from Kent, but if you head up Rt 8 from downtown Akron, it is really only 1 turn onto 303 toward Peninsula and then another into the parking lot and you are there.

From Kent, just take 59(or Graham Rd) West to Route 8 and go north. Take Rt8 until 303(first exit past Steels Corners Rd exit) And take a left when you get off the expressway. Follow 303 through some fields and woods and you'll go down a big hill into the town of Peninsula. The Winking Lizard is on the right side just before the railroad tracks, can't miss it.

WEll, just talked to the insurance company from her ( big surprise a woman...) and looks like they have their owe shops to go to but offer a life time deal on it so if it ever fades or changes from the rest of the car I get it fixed for free. Hopefully I can get my car in there today because it is going to rain this weekend. I don't know, just have to wait and see what happens then.
