Question Coil Spring Life?

Hello All!

This may be a really dumb question but...When should coil springs be replaced? What kind if life-span do they have?

I really have no idea!!

Thanks,
Clint

Well, I dunno nuffin, but my understanding is that springs really don't wear out too much.

That's what I thought but I also have never had a car with 200K miles on it...

But eventually springs must wear out right? I can easily push on my car and make it bounce, my struts and shocks are shot so I assume it is only the springs I'm pushing on. On the other hand, my old 86 n/a did not bounce at all with bad front struts.
