I sure did always end up with a big pile of coins at the end of the day in Oz. It made me feel wealthy.... I hope you enjoy your trip Brian. Tipping is a PITA but it really is lifeblood for many people in serivce industires.

Does anyone know what T.I.P. used to stand for?

Close. I was told it meant 'To Insure Promptness'. It was basically a bribe given to the Maitre'D of a fancy restaurant so you got a good table in a timely manner.
