The Anti-Ricer's Post with Videos

I watched it man, neat video. Here are some random thoughts on it:
- The oil filter is in the front of the car, under the hood, not in the back.
- A 924S has fuel injectors, not a carburetor.
- I was surprised to see the amount of HP lost by the exhaust cutout.
- I was surprised to see the gain off the nitrous, what size jets did you use, 50HP shot ?
Otherwise, nice video. I enjoyed it. The scripting was a little awkward when you guys were in the car though.

yeah we were also suprised about the exhaust cut out loss of hp... dont know if something fishy was going on their or not. as u noticed when i tried to get the car up to speed it almost stalled out and the car REALLY dug into the roller yanno?
on the nitrous, we actually expected more, we used a 75hp shot.
and scripting wise, yeah we were just trying to complete this video for school, not for real informational stuff like here on rennlist. we tried our best!!! again thanks for watching!

Hey pretty neat video, in a 'this old house' kinda way. Looks like you guys are having some fun! Like the fast forward part.
Bet when the NOS shot hit, it was a real kick in the back. How long does the bottle last?

actually to tell u the truth, when the nos is activated (u can test this by flooring it and then hitting the nos) it only really feels like turning off the a/c if you know what i mean, but like turning it off majorly, i dunno. its pretty damn cool though and really bumps the hp/torque up. 1st and 2nd gears go by WAY to fast lol. as to how long the nitrous bottle lasts, since it can hold about 10lb's of nitrous, it basically is timed at 3 minutes of constant use, so each drag is 15 some seconds, well then there ya go. it only costs $40 to refill. not much at all. thanks for watching

my only advice is to put the stock air box and k/n filter in, plug that hole, and drill a place for the nitrous to shoot in there..all that hot air coming off the alternator is goin right into that air filter...when i was experimenting with cone filters right off the MAF my car lost a ton of torque

How much more horse are you getting off this system? So, 160/.85 = 188 bhp? What is stock for the 924S? Doesn't it have the 944 engine? Seems a little low for nitrous.

your right 944cs, it is breathing the hot air from the engine and alternator, and i do have the nozzles to drill into the car and whatnot. but i'm too busy right now and when the car is shooting nitrous at -20 ferenheit, it doesnt matter too much anyways. but i probably will be doing that in a little while anyways.
faithless, i am getting 137hp and 131lbs torque running the car "stock" and with nitrous its at 167hp and 200lbs torque. i did expect better, but the car was having some problems with itself when i dyno'd it anyways. go to my site and read up on it. mavfan72.tripod.com
i dont know the equations ur doing. is that for at the flywheel? and yes it has the 1988 944 engine. (upgraded cr)
thanks testarossa, yeah we are just trying our best!
and ya sorry bout the size, but it was worth it right? lol hope so. i think its cool anyways b/c u get to see another porsche so intimatly yanno? other vids are just of them driving around and here u get in depth on everything. i wish more people would document their work on their cars!

which one were you? Also, i agree with what soemone else said...get RID of the neons...look fugly and add weight that slows you down...same goes for the subs...but those aren't AS bad..hwoever...it was well done...i liked the dyno shots where it was showing both shots at the same time...very nice....and its not NOS...NOS is a company ;-)...you had ZEX Nitrous JFYI

also pearldrum, those speakers in the back are actually full range speakers and probably emmit less bass than ur 6x9's lol
...easy access to extra stuff...???? oh do tell! lol
