Default Tie rod end bolt slipping.... wtf? Need help fast!

I'm trying to change my p/s rack and get it done today.....heh

As I expected, I've run into problems already. I'm trying to take off the tie rod ends and I'm having no luck with the nuts. When I loosen the nuts, they will spin on the bolt at the beginning, and then they freeze and you start to rotate the entire tie rod end bolt. This isnt normal is it? How am I to get the nuts far enough off to pry the tie rod ends off??? Is this characteristic of old tie rod ends to fail in this way???

Nvm, i just had to apply some pressure to the bottom of the tie rod end for the bolt to hold the torque of removing the nut..... would have been nice if they just said that in the clarks garage walkthrough... grr

you need to put a wrech on the tie-rod to prevent the entire rod from spinning in the steering rack. There should be a couple flats on the rod.
