Default Different kind of group buy

It just popped into my head that most of the group buy's I see are for wastegates, headgaskets, suspension, accessories, etc. I could be wrong (usually I am...) but is that the case?

What about a "Tune up kit" group buy? Maybe a "Timing belt kit" group buy?

I'm thinking cap/rotor/wires/plugs/oil/fuel/air filter for the tune up. All the normal items for T-belt.

If you guy's would be interested in that, I'd love to put some wicked pricing together for it.

Hmmmm-post the replies!

If you can organize something like a 'timing belt' kit group buy, i would defenetley be interested. I need to get my belts, rollers...etc done sometime within the next month or so.

So far everything i needed totals to about $550 not including the tools i am going to be buying from Arnnworx. If we could save even a few dollars that would be great...im just a poor college kid right now!

I think the cap/rotors/wires is a good idea, mainly because I want to replace mine. Where are people getting theirs?

I thinking along the lines of a Russian mailorder bride, but a tune up kit would be more practical. Plugs/wires/dist., PDT, or a case of oil/plug/filter or rotors/pads/brake fluid. If I had my drothers, I would lean towards the PDT kit.

I'm almost done with the pricing, I need to check with a vendor on a couple of things-

My thoughts are:

Basic
Cap, Rotor, Wires

Tune-Up
Cap, Wires, rotor, Oil and fuel filters (air filters could be available, I suppose both K&N and Factory)

Then on the belt kit
Belts, rollers, seals, tensioner (if applicable), and then a waterpump option (which we all know is smart to replace when you have the motor apart.)

It'll all be up by 9am. We would just need to get commitments from 5 people each on either the timing belt kit, or the tune (any configuration).

Sound good?

Cool, the seperate package idea is great. Depending on pricing I'm in on the "basic".

How quickly can we do this? I need to order timing belt kit and a waterpump within the next week.. possible?

BTW waterpump new updated is 189 at vertex, and the timing belt kit is 145 if i recall... will this be better than that?

We've got the tune up kits done, I'm pricing the belt/pump kit. The waterpump kit is going to be better than retail price, but by how much I don't know...there are notoriously lean suppliers out there.

We're going to set it up with a link to our merchant site from this thread, then you can just click /pay and it'll be shipped.
