I just got a really great deal on a 1992 Audi 100CS quattro. They're easily a 300-400K car, and they're really cheap now.
If you want something new, go find yourself a '96 - 2001 or so A4. Around here you can pick up a mint 2.8L, 5-speed car with quattro for well under $10k.

The S4 is a pretty complex car, the Turbos can be prone to failure and must be replaced in pairs. Labor and parts are comparable to Porsche prices.
I enjoy having a warranty on the car.
another car to check out is the VW Passat, great car, just got my wife a brand new one.

I suggest NOT getting a turbo daily driver. Too much temptation to mod. Get an Audi 90 or 100 Quattro, a Subaru Outback, or something like that. AWD is great. Actually if you are 19 you must pay a ton for insurance, you might want to get something to replace the pickup rather than have three cars and pay ten grand a year in insurance. Either a good 4wd pickup or something you can tow a utility trailer with to haul stuff around.

Since this seems to have turned into a suggestion thread, I vote WRX! Subaru reliability & performance. No, it doesn't say Porsche or Ferrari on the back, but I got over it. I love my daily driver STi. I kicks butt over my 951 in just about every way.

The rare Audis do cost more than a Porsche to maintain. My dad's 91 200 Quattro Turbo ate through brakes like there was no tomorrow ($1000 pad and rotor job) and had bad power steering problems (special high pressure system) and just cost a fortune for the smallest parts.

That is a great deal.
I think the WRX is a great daily driver. 4-doors, AWD, good gas milage (I get about 26-28 mpg) and adequate power.
