Hey, anyone parting an early car with a good transmisson?

I have one in a early 85 parts car, but like I told another lister that was interested - I never saw the car run, it goes into all the gears, and thier is no damage that can bee seen from under the car. I think i told him $200, but shipping would be around $125-$150.
PS do you still want the tail light? it was you right?

 

I don't think the early cars are limited to just early transmissions since the speed sensor is on the wheel.

 

Any year trans including turbo or S2 will fit on an early car.

I have one that I'm in the same place as Patrick. I never saw the car run, but there is no play in the ring and pinion, and it goes into all gears, and the input shaft has no play in it. The fluid was clean that came out of it.
If you can't work something out with Patrick, let me know.
