Braking at speed causes steering wheel shudder??

Sounds like a plan!! Of course, I have to make it a quick strike, since my wife will be at home with the kids...tapping her foot and looking at the clock!

And, I'm sure adding another 185 pounds wont help your score much!

Yeah, the shimmy thing was the early cars. This is a recent developement. The car used to be rock solid while braking.

Never a problem, Andy - you're always welcome. Sometimes a passenger helps balance the car left to right, and it encourages my ego to take note and drive better!

How did you bed your brakes? My first guess would have been uneven pad deposits on the new rotors.

I took it easy for the first 100 miles or so, did a few 80-20 sudden stops, and they worked great all winter.
