APE(Autothority) chips are a dime a dozen. So you can start there cheaply.
But for the quality custom-this guy knows what he is doing chip-go Vitesse.
You pay a premium for it...but you get to keep your car

I've been running an lbe with autothority chips for three years now, the lbe made a big difference. Just make sure you don't turn it up too high. The things are cheap, try one or one of the competitors.

The language of boost is a difficult one to learn. Once you master it, though, you will find that you don't want to speak anything else.

In the past I ran APE chips which are suppose to run with the special banjo. They run at 14psi because of the restricted banjo. Well at that time the boost enhancer just came out and I chose to purchase one. I installed it, so I had the LBE, APE chips and my banjo. I figured since stock boost is almost 12psi and the LBE for a stock car is set at 10psi, 2 psi less, I could run my LBE at 12psi because my car was setup to run 14psi, 2 psi less. Well I was o so wrong. I basically had 3 forms of boost control on my car, the banjo, the LBE and the CV, lol. Car felt super fast.....then down the road I bought a boost gauge. I thought I installed it wrong because it read 17psi, haha. But it was installed correctly. Moral of the story, buy your LBE, a set of chips and dump the CV and NEVER run an aftermarket boost controller with the special banjo.

I should get the LBE tomorrow in the mail,
Im in the early stages of 951 modifications so im going to start with that and hopefully gain a little power, then im going to a chip from vitesse. I talked to a guy there and he said a DME chip will run me $395. Thats sounds pretty good and they have some dyno charts on their site to back up the nr's.
Thanks for all the info so far, its been very helpful

Good. I would recommend to leave the boost enhancer as it comes, don't adjust it. Also, hook it up as the instructions says, to keep the CV. The quicker you get your chips the better.
Also, because of my long story, I am in the middle of an engine rebuild.
