Default Paint or Powdercoat?

So I have some grey phone dials on my car. Grey is alright, but I've seen Jason's red 944 with white wheels, and I think that looks 1000 times better, so I've gotta have it. Now the question is, what should I color them with?

1. Flat white paint
2. Semi-gloss white paint
3. Regular gloss paint
4. Powdercoat

The benefit of paint obviously is that its the cheapest option, because I can do it myself. Powder coating will be alot more, because the wheels are aluminum, and to prevent them from gassing through the powdercoating, I would have to put down some more money for better prep and an anti-gassing base coat, and I'm pretty strapped for cash these days. Whatchyall think?

On a black car - good ol silver looks best. If this is your daily driver you do not want white. Powdercoating wil have the best longevity and most likely the best finish.

gloss white paint. you don't want anything to keep from easily cleaning brake dust away. Powder is too much trouble and too much money IMHO.

I'll bet white phones on a black car would look pretty good. Honestly, I never liked phonedials until I saw the white ones on Carl's (macfreak007) car. They look great.
