Are those late offset wheels? They look inset way too far.

I would say some chips and a boost enhancer and you should be ready to go! Chips will give some added HP while a boost enhancer will cause the boost to build up sooner, but everything else will operate normally

The wheels are made for early offset.

I read the whole thing about the boost enhancer on paragons website. It seems really interesting and seems to work pretty good, i just don't want anything to get damaged or be under alot of stress.
Anyone know how long it takes to install that boost enhancer, what chip i should get and from where? And how would i install the chip? Do i just put the chip in the airfilter box? Just kidding, seriously if anyone has a pic of chip installation it would be great.
Thanks

The boost enhance is easy to install, should come with directions...but I am pretty sure its like this: Remove two hoses, put two hoses on...done.

Chips are really easy. Lift up the carpet on the passenger side footwell, you will see a peice of wood, take that out, you will see two metal boxes. One is the DME, one is the KLR. Chips go in there!

If you're going to get chips and you want to increase boost, get a dual port wastegate, good boost controller and a set of chips mapped for your newly transformed beast. As far as stress goes, running ~15psi on the stock k26/6 has been proven to be safe as long as your chips are mapped to give enough fuel to match the increased air coming in.

Lately i have been spending to much money on the car, how much will it all cost Mike? Im willing to throw around 500-600 on performance upgrades. Will that get me anything worthy?
I don't really want a boost controller, just a chip and a boost enhancer and maybe a MAF/cold air intake(same thing right?). I should notice a pretty good performance increase with that right?
The only reason i don't want a boost controller is because i want to keep the interior stock looking. don't you have to install that under the radio?
According to paragons site you will get a 10-15% increase in HP and a 15-20% increase in torque just by installing the boost controller. 25HP for 89 bux sounds like a pretty good deal to me for that much of a performance increase.
Heres some more pics.

Been spending a lot of money lately, huh? Welcome to the club!

A wastegate will cost around 300. Chips are going to cost another 3-400 depending on where you get them. A boost controller can be mounted in the cabin, but it does not have to be. There are plenty of locations under the hood for that.

A MAF kit will be more than your current budget. I'm assuming you'll want a plug and play MAF. This leaves 2 options- Vitesse and Autothority. Both of these MAFs come with chips with the proper transfer function for the new sensor.

Not to be a downer but... try those wheels on your '87 and I think you'll find they fit.

Maybe it's the angle on the photos but particularly in the head on shot, those wheels are all inset about an inch too far to be early offset wheels.

Which brand are they?

Looks good!

Most boost controllers are actually mounted in the engine bay in case that would change your mind.

ninefiveone does that mean i can fit late offset wheels on mine? Heres a couple pics of the stamps on the wheels, i don't know what brand they are.

Mike, what do you think of just a $300-400 chip and a $89 boost enhancer, will i notice a big difference? Now for the chip brand, i want the best one that is the safest, what brand would that be?
