Here's a new one. I just had my well chlorinated to kill any bacteria. Do you think it's safe to wash the car with this chlorinated water? It smells like a swimming pool. Or should I just wait a week til it's all gone?

I see you live in the poconos... kind of like my area, but even more wooded. I imagine it's fine.. Most city dwellers have chlorinated water all the time from teh city.. I don't k nwo if your water is more chlorinated than that... but it's probably ok.

I wouldnt at all.
Tap water is chlorinated yes, but last I checked it isnt "just under toxic so that instead of killing you it just almost dissolves your eyeballs" chlorinated.

We have been on chlorinated well water for 18 years and I haven't had any issues with it damaging anything when used for washing a car...it's the hardness that will mess you up if you aren't quick to get it off...I use a leafblower...no spots, no streaks, no drips from those mirrors and hatch at all.
