Throttle cable slack??
When I was trying to remove my TPS a few weeks back, I noticed that the throttle cable seemed like it had about an inch of play before it pulled the throttle open and I heard the "click" of the TPS.
Should the cable be adjusted to have little or no slack, or is some slack meant to be there? I figure the more slack, the more slop in the go pedal...no?
PS-- Still didn't remove my throttle body to drill out the stripped TPS screws yet. No time!

If there is too much slack, and the pedal to the floor doesn't open the throttle all the way...how do I adjust the cable. There is a brass screw adjuster, but it looks pretty much stuck where it is.

On my early car there are 2 nuts where the cable comes into the firewall. IRRC you need 2 14mm wrenches (one to hold the nut closer to the firewall in place, the other to adjust)
Hope this helps
