I belive autobahn has their own machine shop tools? Thx again AznDrgn, Im pulling my head out of there tomorrow,... all they have done is cleaned and pressure tested. Im going to talk to 'allied' and see if i get some good feedback from them. Ive spent about $130 there so not much loss and Itll be in much better hands when i have it milled and the valves cut (if i have them cut)

I got my head back (feels good), all they did was disassemble, clean and pressure test. I'll post some images of the valves later tonight. The larger (intake?) valves look fine, but the exhaust valves look like they have burnt barnicles covering the inside? Unless it can be removed, im beginning to think that i may indeed need new exhaust valves. I suppose as long as they seal and havent somehow weakened.
so posting images later....

dropped it off at Allied today... I think i might be paying on the high end but, no bother, it'll be worth being able to drive it again.
So so far, here are my cost....
===== Kenson ======
Disassemble
Clean
Pressure Test
--------------------
$ 130.00
===== Allied =====
Bead Blast Exhaust Valves (to remove buildup)
Mill
Cut valves
Valve guides ($50 for the set)
--------------------------
$370

well, im all done. And Allied has my vote, I dropped it of on monday, and they called me wednesday morning. They got the carbon buildup off my exhaust valves, recut and milled the head, and I can almost imagine what driving a 951 is like again.
quick question, is there anything I should do to the cam or head before installing. The cam still has oil in it, should i clean it with soap&water. Is there anything i should do to the base of the block before i put the head back on?
thanks,
-john

I would stay away from autobahn...I used to use them as the primary place i had the 924S serviced but i found out just recienty after i swiched shops that a couple things they claimed to have done was never done amounting to just about 2k. As for intersport i have had nothing by good experiences from them i belived they may have restructured the management recienty.
