Unhappy Selling '83 w/parts

I'm thinking about selling my '83 944 Auto, along with the parts I have from an '85 manual. They both have around 150K miles. The '83 is in "Good" condition and has a recently rebuilt transmission, no dents, paint in good, but slightly-faded shape, working AC, and 2 new tires. The interior is good, except for the worn-thru place on the driver's seat and the cracked dash (of course). I kept a journal of the repairs and have several manuals and books on the car (along with some "special" tools).

I have most of the parts from the '85 (same color interior), except the body, glass, and wheels. The engine was running well when I removed it, as was the transmission (clutch worn about 50%).

Problem is, the engine just seized on the '83. I don't have the time nor money to prepare the '85 engine and replace this one. I could just stick it in as-is, but I would prefer to let the new owner decide.

What would be a reasonable price to ask? I figure maybe $2000, but is that too high, or too low?

Where would be the best place to advertise it? Would this do any good on eBay?

I really love this car, and hate to get rid of it, but sometimes ...

Thanks in advance,

. . . Steve
