Default windshield washer removal help

I want to remove my windshield washer jets and have a question. I've popped the body of the jets out from the hood's sheet metal but to remove them entirely I must disconnect the fluid hose (no problem) and the two wires (for heating the jet when the defrost is on). It's these two wires that puzzle me. There seems to be no way to disconnect the wires from the washer jet body and the other end of the wires insert into a flat 6 or 8 pin connector. This connector is too big to pass throught the opening in the hood, so I guess I would need to disconnect these wires, but I don't know how. I tried pressing them out with a flat headed punch, but they do not budge, and I'm afraid to use more force than I have so far.

What is the right way to do this?

(FYI I'm removing these as I'm painting the car.)

Thanks for taking a look!

You need a pin extractor in order to remove the wires individually from the plastic connector they are in.

Cool,

I just learned something new (this must be so obvious to others). Anyway, a quick search for "pin extractor tools" has filled in the blanks for me. However, they seem to come in different sizes (0.062 and 0.093 seem common). Any idea what I should look for?

I found this ebay listing (linky...) for a unit that seems to cover a wide range of sizes. Is it any good? (Any good suggestions for where to find one for sale otherwise?)

Thanks!
