I'm going to have to pass on the sway bar for now, it would just sit untill I get to the other things my car needs first . I'm sure if you throw up a post @ 968forums you'll probably get a buyer. See you tomorrow.

Well, I'd like to come, but our Friend Jim needs some help escaping California. There seems to be an erie force keeping him from moving out of his house.

There isn't much else to do, but I'd like to make sure he's done tomorrow. Besides it seems that our last minute belt and waterpump job went south via cupville. But, that's another story. I'll let Jim tell it when he recovers from the trauma of the move.

Have fun guys. I just spent a couple hours up there on Tues. However, it was in bumper to bumper traffic...

NOOOOOOOOO I wish I saw this post this morning! I'm going to look at a car I might buy tomorrow This is probably the last time I'll be able to go on one of these, since I'm trying to sell my car. I'm going camping at Loon Lake next Tuesday, so for you guys to organize a 944 trip up there is realllllllly weird haha. Have fun for me guys!

Say goodbye to Jim for me. He sure had a lot of stuff to move last time I saw his place...I bet it's been a long process! How many cars is he taking?

Bigsheldy - I wish you saw the post also...new blood is always welcome. Good luck with the new car.

Default A couple pics

Thanks to all for coming out. The final count was 5 cars but a good group. Serge had to cancel from a oil cooler leak and Turbostar also had issues. It ended up me(951) , bluecamaro(Dan)944S2, Josh(968), Deni Durrell(944), and Deni's brother in his nice 2002 M3. All we needed was a 944s and a 924 to complete the marque. Anyway it was a good fast run on 80% of the roads with no incidents. We cut over to the most perfect Mormon Immigrant Trail for the greatest high-speed sustained driving I think many of us have done...I won't go into numbers but woo-woo. Here's the group cooling our jets at a stop.

Gee Thanks - I refuse to post the pic of me trying to catch you guys after the logging truck intervention. I didn't think the speedo reading was in the pic but yes it was a "spirited" run down Mormon Emigrant Trail...see why I complain about the short BA runs? We did about 175 miles today on good Porsche roads out of of 250 miles total. I try to stick to a mantra of "You can always socialize, I would rather drive" Brad Cam sets up a nice Skaggs Springs Road run on the coast in the early Fall...it may not be as fast but it is worth the drive, even from here. Glad you had a good time...same here.

Steve

Wow, I really wish I would have gone. I may not have another chance to go, but from the looks of it my car isn't going to sell any time soon. Any idea when the next run will be? Tell me a week or two in advance, so I can make sure to take off work.

Sounds like my kind of drive. I'll be there for the next one after I get my engine back together.

Steve, I can't believe you took a pic while trying to catch up. Thanks for the great run. It was great meeting you Deni, and Josh.

This is the only pic I took, and I don't think it came out too bad for being taken out the window while driving.

wow, what a great weekend... Almost. Drove pretty much the same roads sunday with 4 other 968's. got home just fine and going out to the store the high pressure hose from the clutch slave cylender had enough so pushed the car home and well I'll have to order the part first thing tomorrow. The long straights were THE BEST i've been on for a while, of course the corners are the best part but I vaguley remember shifting my car from 5-6 at redline... Can't wait til next time.

You're not the only one who broke. I lost my shifter on the way home from Jack-in-the-Crack this afternoon. The car was stuck in 4th for a couple miles, and the clutch LOVED that. Ended up that the shaft is worn, causing the circlip to fall off. I've got it safety wired on there untill Pelicanparts has the chance to take some more of my money.

Serge, I'm interested in your swaybars, check your PM's.

FYI on the clutch hose some one on the 968 forum recommended having a hydraulic shop repair the hose by replacing the current ruber busted part with steel braided line. So dropping it off at a hydro shop I found first thing in the morning. Cheeper fix and stronger!! Why not?
