dp Motorsport 944 - Rice or Nice?

I definately won't call them "rice", but while I kind of like them, there's something that is holding me back. I think it's the wheels, since I've never really liked deep dish wheels. So, to see them (even moreso only deeps in the back) just makes me go "blech!" I think they remind me too much of the ghetto wheels that stick six inches out of the fender. That's what I think of when I see them, anyway.
Switch the wheels to something less "deep" and I think I'd like them.
BB.

I really like them! I had never seen or known that DP modded 944's. I have always liked what they did for the 930's! Tastefully done, with some hints of the 80's. Anymore pics or info? I just downloaded a pdf magazine article on the DP 935's off the 930 forum.

Guys-
In case you're interested, I've been collecting DP info for the last few months... and have put together a PDF doc of some interesting docs that I received from a fellow RennLister...
Low res version (3MB) -- here
High res version (50MB) -- here
A very interesting read, IMO.
Also, they are still in business, just the son has taken over from the father.
Their website is at: DP Motorsport

Oh... if you want my $0.02 (CDN), ANYTHING done by DP is not at all Ricer... if anything it is "hardcore racing Porsche". There's a reason why the Kremer brothers had DP build their various iterations of the 935 (K3, K4, etc) that won Le Mans.
For instance, my car (the 930-based DP 935), has all new kevlar-composite body panels (except for roof and doors, which were retained for safety), a fully functional monster oil-cooler on the front air damn, upgraded suspension, tweaked engine, etc., etc.
That being said, I can see how some people might consider them to be "ricer" looking... after all, most of the "ricer" crowd are merely attempting to emulate the look of a true racing package by slapping wings and stuff onto their cars. The big difference is that the DP stuff is there for a reason, and is engineered to perform.
DP = Functionality dictates Form.
RICER = Form dictates Functionality.
Mind you, I may be somewhat biased, as I have one, and thoroughly enjoy driving the **** out of it.

Thank you for posting your pdf docs again Jeff, this was the one I was referring to. Here are some more pics...928 anyone? The last one is of a gorgeous 86' 930.

In case you guys missed it on their site, DP sells current bodywork and other stuff for 944's.
http://www.dp-motorsport.de/english/new_products944.htm
Nothing that would allow you to totally recreate some of those awesome examples shown at the beginning of the thread, but some nice stuff none-the-less.

JGrant,
Where can I order these parts from in the US? Sorry but I am a bit sketchy about ordering parts from a web site in Germany with no support for the product in the US.
