Default Bouncing tach and mpg gauges

What does this mean? I was driving along and my tach started to bounce around. It didn't misfire or anything but it just started to act up. Along with my MPG gauge. It was more bouncing then usual. Could this be a grounding problem. If so then what is wrong with it.

Wizkid, no vacuum connection, it's a little more sophisticated than that, it measures the injector pulse width and something else I don't recall right now.

My tach bounces as well. Been doing it since I bought the car in 2001. Haven't really worried about it too much -- as long as I'm not bouncing off the rev-limiter....

Does anyone know what grounds I should be looking at?
